The "Pedestal Model Necrotic Foot" from MEDICAL FX Germany is a detailed representation of a foot with pronounced necrotic changes. This model is mounted on a base, making it ideal for teaching purposes and for demonstrating the complexity of foot necrosis. Made from high quality silicone, it effectively mimics the texture and appearance of a real affected foot to give medical students, carers and healthcare professionals a realistic picture of the condition. It enables demonstration and practice of diagnostic procedures, treatment options and nursing interventions for foot necrosis, which are critical to patient care.

Smoker's leg with dying tissue (necrosis) is the fourth stage of peripheral arterial occlusive disease, colloquially called "smoker's leg". In 90% of cases, it manifests itself on the leg. Necrosis usually starts at the toes, due to vasoconstriction caused by substances released by nicotine ingestion.

Material: Medical FX works with a whole range of modern materials. Organic structures are imitated with high quality silicone from the special effects industry. It has a very flesh-like feel. Frame structures are made of polyurethane. All materials used have high durability and longevity. They manufacture all models by hand in Germany and deliver them sustainably with a five-year warranty.
Cleaning: In the case of superficial soiling, the models can be cleaned with alcohol (e.g. isopropanol) or disinfectant and easy under warm water with soap.
Handling: Do not use sharp or pointed objects on the model. Do not expose to an open flame! This is not a suture or cutting practice model.
