Training Phantom for Ultrasonic Observation of Tissue Damage - DTI Training Set

This unique simulation phantom allows training in ultrasound-guided tissue examination to detect damage to deep tissue layers.
The phantom has two interchangeable pads in the areas where pressure ulcers occur most frequently.
One pad is located in the sacral region and one in the area of the greater trochanter.

The phantom has 5 different pads for each region:

Healthy tissue - no defect
Mild pressure ulcer - oedema and hypoechogenic area
Moderate pressure ulcer - oedema and abscess
Severe pressure ulcer - oedema and abscess with typical cobblestone structure
Pressure ulcer with pocket formation - tissue wound and pocket formation

Visible features such as loss of superficial fascia, demarcated areas with reduced brightness and the localisation and depth of abnormal findings make it possible to diagnose weak pressure ulcers stage I / II. Of course, the model can also be used for visual classification of pressure ulcers. Standard classification and treatment techniques can be practised and the inserts can be used to teach the different stages.
